Two of our students are in Pack 25 York PA Webelos 1 Den went to the Boy Scout Spaghetti Dinner and handed out Mrs. Hartman's business cards. They wanted to do that because they thought the Boy Scouts would have books from their childhood that we could use for our Little Free Library. At the meeting, they kept handing the business cards until they had no more to hand out. These students were part of the Book Drive Committee in our classroom. They were getting Boy Scouts to give out books for our Little Free Library. After handing out business cards, people said they would donate books to our class. By: Zak and Zane |

Our class seen a poster that said "International Book Giving Day.'' We printed the poster and then a couple days later we wrote a letter to Mr. Youcheff, our principal. On February 18, 2014 Mr. Youcheff came into our classroom to talk about our project for International Book Giving Day. We thought that it was important for children to get books, so we decided to make a NH Little Free Library (LFL), community LFL, create a book drive & donate some of our books to hospitals, dentists' offices, etc. Mr. Youcheff loved our ideas. He questioned us but we had the correct answers. Then it came to the final answer, Does he want to say yes or no? Luckily that day Mr. Youcheff said, ''Yes! I love your ideas and I agree!'' So we started planning!
By: Ja'Nia & Abby First we started looking at pictures of Little Free Libraries on Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. We saw some really cool ones like robots, phone booths, and other ideas. Then we drew all our different designs and made labels to show were every thing would be. Each kid got to tell the class about their design. After the first time we voted their were six finalists. The one that we voted on was a castle design. The second place winner was my design witch was a panther. It had orange eyes, was all black, and the doors were inside the mouth. That is how we planned our design for our Little Free Library.
